To help each post stand out and to give the reader a visual guide to your posts, the use of a Featured Image is recommended.
It’s a good idea to make sure the image used for each post is the same size, that way they look uniform and tidy on the Blog page.
Also, you can avoid images being cropped in the wrong place, using a square image of say 400px x 400px works well.
